Win a free CELTA training in the UK
To support the professional development of tutors in Uzbekistan who are helping test takers prepare for IELTS, we are launching a new training initiative in partnership with British Study Centres. By giving tutors the opportunity to improve their practices and providing access to a wide range of preparation materials, this initiative will help IELTS test takers get the score they need and achieve their dreams.
What is this initiative about?
The first 20 tutors who bring more than 15 IELTS registered candidates with British Council Uzbekistan for sessions between 22 December 2019 and 30 April 2020 will be eligible to participate in the Teacher Training programme provided by the British Council Uzbekistan. Please note that the first 20 winners will be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis in case several entrants have the same number of submitted registered IELTS candidates. The final number of candidates will be based on paid registrations in our online registration system.
The tutor who brings in the most candidates will win a free CELTA training leading to a certificate provided by our partner British Study Centres in the UK. The costs for UK visa, Tashkent-London-Tashkent airfare and staying in the UK will be covered by the British Council Uzbekistan.
NB The CELTA Certificate will be provided upon campaign winner’s full compliance of the training requirements as set in the training programme which are as follows:
- Proficient English language user (CEFR Level high C1 or above)
- Educated to the standard required for entry into higher education
- Age 18+
In case the winner does not meet the criteria as stipulated by Cambridge English, he/she will be offered a CAE course at one of the British Study Centres schools.
How to enter?
- be 18 years or above
- be a permanent resident of Uzbekistan
- be an IELTS teacher/tutor regardless your official work status (you can be a freelancer or work in any state or private educational institution).
Please note that registered candidates from British Council IELTS partner institutions will not be counted in this campaign.
The British Council reserves its right to reject the selected candidate/s in case the cheating is identified.
