Uzbekistan university students can now apply to win funding for a sustainability project in your own University!
Take part in the Student Sustainability Competition run by the British Council, The State Committee of Uzbekistan for Nature protection, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialised Education of Uzbekistan with the support of the British Embassy Tashkent and the Delegation of the European Union in Tashkent.
Do you have an idea to make your university more sustainable? Perhaps you would like to incorporate sustainability into your course? Or you’d like to create a community garden on campus? Or you’d like to reduce energy use and increase recycling in your student accommodation?
Students can submit a project proposal to the competition and the winning student(s) will have a chance to visit UK to learn more about sustainability and share their idea with British students AND will win funding (7,000,000 Uzbek soum) to implement their project at their university.
Project proposals should cover the following criteria:
- A description of the project
- An estimate of the reach and impact of the project
- An assessment of the feasibility of the project
- A plan to disseminate your learning from the project
- A statement of support for your project from a staff member at your university
- A budget for your project
Proposals should be no more than 750 words, excluding the staff member’s statement of support and the budget.
