Before you book your test

Make sure you have a form of valid passport at hand, as you will need to upload a clear photocopy of it when you book your test. Please note that candidates under 18 years of age have to supply written consent by a parent or guardian in order to apply for a test place.

Download and read our Information for Candidates, which contains important information about the test format, the question types and the test results. Please note that IELTS is not recommended for test takers under the age of 16. 

Pay for your test. You can pay for your test either through our online registration system or via bank transfer. For information on the price of the test, please visit our online registration system

  • Direct debit from your bank

To make any of the above payments you must quote your registration Reference Number  in all reference fields of the receipt. Your reference number is a 15 digit number that starts with UZ, you will get in your "IELTS Application Summary" - an automated message which will be send to you once you register on our website.

Payment should be made within 24  (twenty four) hours after your registration. Failure to quote your registration reference number may delay your application process; this may lead to a change from your preferred test date or cancellation of your registration.

Online payment is made in pounds sterling directly at the time of registration. We accept international bank cards VISA and MasterCard, issued by foreign banks.

If you wish to make payment through our Bank (Yunusabad branch of JSC KDB Bank Uzbekistan, Minor 77, Tashkent, tel .: 78 1206141), please follow the instructions below:

Yunusabad branch of JSC "KDB Bank Uzbekistan" accepts payment in cash from 09.30 to 16.00 (lunchtime from 14.00 to 15.00). When paying, you must have the original passport with you.

When paying by UZS debit cards

Yunusabad branch of JSC "KDB Bank Uzbekistan" accepts payment through UZS debit cards from 09.30 to 16.00 (lunch break from 14.00 to 15.00). When paying, you must have the original passport with you.

When paying for another person, you must have the original of the payer's passport. In this case, the payer must be the owner of a debit card.

When paying at the end of the month

On the penultimate business day of the month, the Bank accepts payments through UZS DUET cards until 13.00. The bank does not accept payments via UZS cards DUET on the last business day of the month. Please note that the Bank may not be able to accept payments in cash and via UZS debit cards on the first business day of the month if the last day of the previous month was a working day.

Book a paper-based IELTS test

If you choose paper-based IELTS, you will answer the Listening, Reading and Writing sections on a paper. The Speaking test is carried out face-to-face with a trained IELTS examiner.

Book a computer-delivered IELTS test

If you choose computer-delivered IELTS, you will take the Listening, Reading and Writing sections on a computer. The Speaking test will remain face to face with a trained IELTS examiner, as we believe it is the most effective way of assessing your speaking skills.


There is a specific IELTS test for UK visas and immigration. If you are looking to work, study or live in the UK then you may need to take this test.

IELTS test date Confirmation

Once you have completed the booking process, you will receive a confirmation giving you the start time of your test and the venue address. 

Your Speaking test may be scheduled on a different day within a 7 day window before your main test day. The test centre will send you a confirmation for the Speaking Test date.

After booking your test, you will also receive an automatic email with your access codes to the free online course: Road to IELTS.

You will also receive your IELTS Reference Number to access the Test Taker Portal.  Please make sure that you have included your email address correctly when you book your test.
